1-2-1 Embodied Care

Seeking some one-on-one support? Our private embodied care sessions located online via Zoom or a location of your choosing (beach, park, local studio) are tailored to meet your personal needs. Makanaka’s intention in holding this space is to support your practice in nourishing yourself and reconnecting with your body. She can support you with:

  • Yoga

  • Breathework and meditative practices

  • Restorative Practices

  • Pre-natal and postpartum support

  • Designing an embodied self care plan

These hour long sessions are also available to parents and caregivers with children, as we can schedule our sessions around their resting times.

Benefits of private embodied care sessions include:

  • A personalised practice that supports the needs of your well-being

  • Practicing at your own pace in a setting of your choosing where you feel the most comfortable and relaxed,

  • Access to Makanaka’s handmade oils, steams and butters for personal care,

  • Exploring a deeper aspect of embodied care such as seasonal cleanses, meditations, chants & mindfulness practices specific to your needs.

How do private embodied care sessions work?

Makanaka can meet you at your home, a location of your choosing, or online via Zoom.

To explore our practice it is recommended to have 3 sessions (once a week for 3 weeks) to ensure that the time we are sharing is supportive to your needs. After this, sessions can take place as and when necessary.

Please note: For Pre-natal Yoga you need to be out of your first trimester e.g past your 12-week mark. For Postpartum Yoga you need to have rested for at least 6 - 8 weeks.

All our private lessons are one hour long, expect for the initial session which is 1.5hours. To request a private session on a Saturday please email hello@sesamathloapothecary.online
